Component Suppliers

Photon and Core boards are available from a wide range of suppliers and from Spark themselves.

You will also find kits, shields and other interesting Photon/Core compatible modules. Good suppliers for the hobbyist for such things are Adafruit and Sparkfun (no connection with Spark.io).

Parts

Most of the parts used in this book are available in the Maker’s Kit available directly from Spark. This is by far the easiest way to source your components. All of the components are also available individually or as parts of other kits from other suppliers. The sections below list these parts and will give you some help finding them.

The codes next to each part match up to the codes used in the parts bins listed at the start of each project in the book.

Electronic Components

Even if you do not purchase the Spark Maker’s Kit, the easiest way to buy a basic set of electronic components is to buy a general electronics starter kit. I have included Adafruit product codes for some of the less common components.
