CREATING A CHART IN EXCEL

Selecting charts in Excel is now more resourceful as Excel 2016 encompasses a new RECOMMENDED charts feature on the Insert tab allows for more suited charts to be created based on the data you input. For example, when you realise that the chart you initially picked isn’t optimal you can change chart style that even when you have already entered data. That new selected chart style may have a new tailored approach to how data is presented.

To properly use Excel 2016 charts, the following steps are necessary:

Select the data you want to create a chart.

Click insert>Recommended charts.

On the Recommended Charts tab, browse through the list of charts that Excel recommends for your data and select any chart to get a preview of your data in that chart type.

TIP- If you find that you are not really fond of the recommended charts, Select All Charts to see all available chart types.

When a preferred chart is found, click it>OK.

Use the Chart Elements, Chart Styles and Chart Filters option next to the upper-right corner of the chart to add chart elements like axis titles, data labels, modify the appearance of your chart or edit the data displayed in that chart.
