HOW TO PRODUCE A HYPERLINK TO A CURRENT FILE OR WEB PAGE

Go to a new worksheet in excel and select the cell where the hyperlink will be created.

TIP- Excel also provides the option to use objects, such as pictures or an element to represent a hyperlink.

Then select either of these options:

Go to the Insert tab, and under the Links group, select Hyperlink.

Choose the cell or the image, and then go to Hyperlink, or you may use the keys Ctrl+K.

Next go to the Link to option and select the option Current File.

Following that, choose one of the following options:

In the Address box, input the location of a file or web page that is known.

Select the option; Browse the Web, to find a web page, without closing your browser. Go back to your workbook after you have opened the page.

Select the option, Current Folder, to create a path to a particular file.

TIP- The Look List gives you the option to switch from one folder to another.

Go to the Text to display box, and type the text that will be used to represent the hyperlink.

By selecting ScreenTip box, you will be able to view helpful tips and information, when the pointer is placed on the hyperlink.

Then select OK.
